John Kwon Joins Trenwith Valuation, LLC as Managing Director and Valuation Practice Leader

NEW YORK, NY - October 27, 2009 – Trenwith Valuation, LLC, an independent subsidiary of BDO USA, LLP and partner firm to Trenwith Securities, LLC, today announced that John Kwon has joined the firm as Managing Director. Mr. Kwon will be based in the firm’s New York office and will serve as the firm’s valuation practice leader for its east coast offices.  Mr. Kwon will provide a wide variety of valuation and related financial advisory services in industries including technology, telecommunications, media, industrial products, consumer products, and life sciences. The appointment is effective immediately.

John Kwon, 44, has more than 15 years of experience in the valuation of business enterprises and assets. Prior to joining Trenwith, Mr. Kwon held positions in the valuation practice of Deloitte Financial Advisory Services, Duff & Phelps, Standard & Poor’s and PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. He previously held engineering positions with Honeywell Inc. and Alliant Techsystems Inc.

Mr. Kwon received an M.B.A. in Finance from New York University (1993) and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1987). He is a regular speaker and guest lecturer for organizations such as the New York State Bar Association and New York University. He has also served on the board of Habitat for Humanity NYC from 2001 to 2009.
